REWILDING:

A soulful nature RETREAT FOR WOMEN

A place to reconnect to your intuitive feminine wisdom, community, play, rest, song and movement.

3 day retreat: saturday may 24 - monday may 26, 2025. yuba river / nevada citY

DESIGNED & LEAD BY JULIANNE AIELLO

Hello sweet one! Welcome.

If you’ve been on a retreat before, you know just how life giving they can be. A “soul checkin”. And an opportunity to slow down, play with embodiment and creativity practices, and touch back into to our heart, body and soul.. and stay there throughout the weekend :)

This will be my 8th annual spring weekend retreat with many of the same dear sisters and community. And if you’re new here, we welcome you as soul family.

Hosting retreats is sacred work for me, and a job that I take on with deep care. As a woman, artist, teacher, friend, daughter, lover, person of the world that works, cooks, loves, and gives a lot.. I find it is essential to make time and space to set down my daily tasks, intentions, and slow way down. To come back to being held in powerful divine feminine energy, in simple, creative, life giving ways: connecting with the earth, our bodies, the innate creativity of our being and voice. To nourish ourselves, exhale, and make space for joyful, restful being, together with other women. To move, sing and rejoice in the beauty of simply being alive, and come back to listening to our intuition and guidance for what is next.

Adyashanti, one of my meditation teachers, points to something akin to what I feel we are connecting to on retreat, a listening and remembering. “If we look at the world around us, we see that we are conditioned to not listen deeply. Because isn’t that what silence is? It’s a listening, a deep, wordless listening.” - Adyashanti

We all know about “slowing down” and often want to, and the space held by the retreat container, and in turn by the community we create, allows for a way of listening in to ourselves in a way that is more available than in our our everyday.

When asked by a friend who joined on the last retreat, what is my favorite part about the retreats? The answer was easy.. it’s the environment we co-create, with the land, the trees, the river, our softening hearts, the strength and suppleness of our bodies, and with intention to create an inclusive space that feels safe, loving, curious, honest and experimental. The energy we co-create feels ancient to me, like the ones our grandmothers long ago touched into: one of deep sweetness, ease, depth and touching the edges of how we are becoming.

More on specific practices and itinerary below. Come be in the beauty of retreat with us!

I look forward to connecting with you here.

Please note the new pricing for this retreat, which is reduced about 20-25% from prior to retreats to make this experience more accessible. The mission is to cover costs of accommodation and food, plus a minimal offering for myself and the chef. If you have the capacity to give more, your contributions are welcome at the end of the retreat. In this way, I hope my retreat offerings can nourish more women who wish to join. I will still offer 1 scholarship space, please reach out if you could benefit.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

“I got way more out of it than I was expecting. What would I tell a friend? Do it!! Make it happen! It is truly one of the most amazing things I have done for myself. I am still bathing in the afterglow.”

— Dana

“You don’t have to be a singer to join and maybe better if not! As women we can limit ourselves and our expression in this world, and this retreat created such lightness, release and creativity without judgement. The grounds were special and spa was a game changer and lovely start to the day! To have coffee under the trees, naked (if you want) and to enjoy sauna and hot tub was a treat in itself. I walked away feeling strong, relaxed and connected. Thank you for your efforts and creating these spaces!” - Laura

“This was a truly special and beautiful retreat- spending intentional, slow time with like-minded women. Taking time in nature; nurturing ourselves with yoga, creative practices, singing, and delicious food. It was a refreshing way to pour back into yourself if you need a weekend away. Thank you for the loving way you hold space and create magical healing retreats.” - E

“From the moment I arrived I could feel the intention and energetic container for what the weekend had in store. The connection with others felt so easy and beautiful. The space was incredible. The pace of the weekend felt really good also. I am so grateful that I was able to make this retreat and look forward to doing more with Julie. It was such a rich experience.” - J

SOULFUL Nature Camp IS for women of all ages to come practice yoga, restore and reconnect to beauty within and all around.

THE PLACE AND THE PRACTICES:

  • Spring in Nevada City: Warm days and cool nights. Nevada City is reliably warm and sunny during the day and into the evening in May, cooling down just enough to enjoy the spa at night. The Yuba river is a glorious place to rest, bask in the beauty of nature, the colors of the water, hike along side, and swim!

  • Slowing down, together. An opportunity to pause from the speed of modernity to connect with your body, the earth and the seasons. To feel the aliveness of spring in your bones. I have hosted retreats at this time of year for many years, and spring retreats have a special flavor of opening to and savoring the BLISS of summertime and creative energy!

Morning silence. Enjoy morning silence in community. Beautiful meditations in nature. And soulful, strong yoga and barre classes in the yoga shala. Guided practices with strengthening, liberating movement so you can breathe and move intuitively, gracefully, powerfully.

  • Embodiment play! Vocal and embodiment workshops to connect with your heart, your voice, your magic.

  • Afternoons in the wild. Recharging with beach hangs by the river, and swimming in the crystal clear, cleansing waters, or stay on property and enjoy the hikes nearby and/or spa.

  • Beautiful evenings: Mouthwatering meals, enjoyed slowly. Conscious conversations and collective gathering. Heart songs, followed by reaming under the stars...

Nature, embodied yoga and movement practices, breath, song and sisterhood are the medicine for this weekend retreat. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions: julie@outdooryogasf.com

"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song." - Maya Angelou

Come sing, move, and play with us. We are so looking forward to this time together.

Another favorite teacher of mine, Joanna Macy shares: “By refreshing our sense of belonging in the world, we widen the web of relationships that nourishes us and protects us from burnout.”

To witness women come together, deepening in our relationship to the earth, to the waters, the trees, and re-inhabiting our hearts and bodies with fresh attention. Mmmmm, it’s pure delight. I feel all of our grandmothers and ancestors are filled with delight too, as we reclaim our right to rest, play, sing, be taken care, be fed beautiful meals, and enjoy.

So its this energy we create together that has us continue to devote a really good chunk of our time and energy to creating retreats. The new world we want to live in, where women are honored, where we are connected to our intuition, where we make time and space to be well cared for, as we care for our our families and communities, that new world becomes more and more possible with us simply arriving on retreat, enjoying, moving, resting, being.

about julianne aiello

Hi, I’m Julie.

I am a lover and student of nature, love and wisdom. Nature was my first and true love, remembering we are all held my the great Mother Earth, and to know her infinite intelligence. I have also found deep resonance with the ancient teachings of yoga to know and work with the mind, connect to the vast love in our heart, and connect to the body as a profoundly beautiful vessel to know our truth, to sing, to creative express our connection to the sacred through movement and nature.

I found yoga at time when I was deeply longing for purpose, and a healthier relationship with my body. I was running, literally and figuratively, a lot, and I was lacking direction in my inner and outer life. I was so lucky to find a couple teachers to guide me on the path, to me work with my deep hunger to feel alive and on purpose, to come to know myself on a deep level, and to develop the understanding and skills to channel my life force in a productive way, for myself and those around me.

At the heart of what I offer is what has served me and continues to serve me as a student of yoga - to awaken to who we really are, to be honest and gentle with ourselves, and to reclaim our inner authority and agency in how we move, breathe, and nourish ourselves so we can shine our light on the world.

I also draw on the contemplative traditions of Buddhism, I have studied and practiced Reiki for many years, my diet and classes are guided by the wisdom Ayurveda, and overall I teach and guide with an integrative approach to wellness and wholeness, to support you in the entire human experience!

I love to teach and share in meditation, somatic practices of inhabiting our body and our voices, powerful AND accessible asana (yoga) classes, mindful strength classes (barre inspired) and to offer restorative practices. I also LOVE to chant mantra, play guitar, and sing.

I look forward to connecting with you in class or on retreat, to being in the heart space together, to being radically HONEST, GENTLE, and LOVING with ourselves! About what nourishes us, what binds us, what is challenging us now.. we can live from an empowered place of truth, freedom, and connection with ourselves that serves US and everyone in our lives. Come join in the sweetness!
